Trail Overview
Martinez Creek North is a sandy wash run that is pretty typical of the washes in the area. Fast and smooth with deep sand, this wash winds through the rough area that is Arizona State Trust Land. The wash itself has no obstacles, but one should remain observant, as obstacles can pop up with each new moisture event in the area. This is Arizona State Trust Land and requires a yearly permit that can be purchased and printed online. The permit allows certain recreational activities, including camping, bicycling, bird watching, GPS-based recreational activities (geocaching), hiking, horseback riding, off-highway vehicle (OHV) usage, photography, picnicking, and sightseeing.
