Trail Overview
If you've taken the Bill Williams-Prescott Forest Traverse West from Williams, this trail is a great way to lower your blood pressure. Rolling and beautiful, with no obstacles other than a couple of wash crossings. Prairie Blast rolls and meanders through the open grasslands of the Kaibab National Forest toward HWY 89, which leads to Prescott, AZ. Along this dirt two-track, you might see antelope and mule deer feeding on the tall grasses of the prairie. Jackrabbits and extensive bird life exist here as well. Wildflowers, Creosote, Burberry, and Juniper, as well as some mixed pine dot this landscape as you head south.
