Trail Overview
This is a beautiful trail through a dense valley of saguaro cacti. The trail is generally easy; however, there are a few steep transitions and ledges to cross a few washes. There are also a couple of small rocky sections. The trail ends at a beautiful dispersed campsite with mountains all around. The campsite is just off the trail, but this area is generally quiet and secluded. The trail continues past the campsite, but there is a washout across a culvert to continue. Smaller vehicles will have no problem passing through the washout and continuing further. Larger vehicles will not make it or will require excellent spotting along with possible trail maintenance. The valley this trail runs through is secluded and just stunning. There are mountains all around and vast numbers of giant old saguaros. This area gets extremely hot in the summertime. Bring extra water and supplies if traveling in the summer months. It's recommended to download offline maps. Cell service is intermittent.
