Trail Overview
The Secret Trail is part of the Fort Valley Trail System in Coconino National Forest. The trail is most easily accessed from the Sunset Trailhead approximately 5 miles up Shultz Pass Road. The trail starts off as a nice single track with some fun switchbacks and short rocky sections. It then proceeds into some short technical climbs and descents. after about 4 miles the trail turns much more technical with many rocky and boulder sections requiring careful line choice to clear your foot pegs and bash plate. At the end of the technical section, you can continue on to another easy single track or exit onto a forest service road.
