Trail Overview
Turkey Run is a trail that runs through the northwest quadrant of the Prescott National Forest. What begins with dirt and gentle water crossings turns into a rocky trail peppered with creekbed traverses and long steep uphills with large rocks and broken gates. This trail is rich with wildlife, and on the day of the recording, no less than 30 wild turkeys were seen. There was also evidence of elk and deer in the woods that the trail meanders through. Near the top of the hill, you'll have incredible views of the grasslands and wooded areas up high on the horizon. Along with the large erosion and off-camber crossings, you'll find the trail rough with lava-type rock.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained road with obstacles of varying sizes. Large rocks, erosion, washouts, trees across the trail, and many creek crossings are all along this trail, which at times is narrow and in the trees. During the rainy season, the washes and creeks could become deep and flowing, presenting danger. Caution is urged.
