Trail Overview
Desperado is a one-way trail that runs next to True Grit on the southwestern section of the park. The entrance is uphill with a fairly large tree root that sticks out of the ground between halfway and three-quarters of the way up the hill. Once up the hill, the trail continues through the trees with slight grades uphill. Depending on recent rainfall, it can be very slick and muddy, and there is the potential for sliding off the trail. After reaching the top of the hill, you will start the descent. There is an area with large rock ledges to climb down. This area has an easier line to the far left. When at the bottom, the trail branches off to either left or right to Cliff Creek, depending on which direction you want to go next.

Difficulty
This trail can be very difficult due to recent rainfall making it very slick and muddy. Sliding off the trail could result in body damage from the trees that line the trail. There are rock ledges going downhill that could result in a rollover. There is an easier line to the far left at the rock ledges that you can do to avoid large drop-offs or potential body damage.
