Trail Overview
This Forest Road 35 is a beautiful, rolling trail that cascades slowly and gently through the grasslands of the Prescott National Forest. This open prairie is home to deer, elk, and antelope, as well as a plethora of other wildlife. Wide, with expansive views, this trail begs you to drive slowly, if only to slow down, take in the fresh air, and enjoy the ride. Large open areas for camping and pull-through sites large enough for 5th wheels pepper the first mile or so on the south end. A couple of wash crossings dot the trail where nature has decided that the water belongs where it belongs. You'll pass classic large old corrals, and wildlife water spots on your way north toward a long and sweeping uphill of red dirt that marks this landscape. Enjoy your drive, as this is one of my favorites!
