Trail Overview
The Telephone Line trail is a long and meandering trail that has no major obstacles on it. There are some wash crossings, and the northern section is far more rocky than the southern end, with a couple of rocky hill climbs mixed in but nothing out of the ordinary for this area of the Prescott National Forest. Along the trail, you'll encounter erosion and sneaky rocks, as well as some cacti that grow close to the trail. There is no cell service in this area of the forest so offline maps are essential.

Difficulty
This trail is unmaintained, and at times muddy and rutted. There are wash crossings and rocky hill climbs that could make this trail challenging after a rain event. While it is one lane, there are plenty of places to turn around or let other vehicles pass.
